DescriptionA tall stone and bronze monument in the shape of an obelisk stands in an open space. The obelisk is decorated with shields and an eagle and with bands that read "CITY OF MEXICO - CHAPULTEPEC / CERRO GORDO - MONTEREY / VERA CRUZ - PUEBLA / CHIPPEWA - PEROTE." A bas-relief on the base depicts a man on horseback. A second plaque reads "MAJ. GEN. / WILLIAM WORTH." An inscription on the base reads "MAJ. GEN. WORTH." Two men in military uniform stand beside the monument. Other men and women stroll on the grassy lawn surrounding it. Trees are in the background and at the left.
