NotesSubject Note: Theobald Mathew was an Irish Temperence reformer. He visited the United States from 1849 to 1851. This print was probably issued at that time.

Constituent Note: Although printed in Philadephia, this particular impression appears to have been published in New Haven. The words "[Ne]w Haven" appear beneath the copyright in an area of the print with large paper losses.
