A one-story brick building at left has roof sign, "The Hartford Electric Light Co. Utility poles, sidewalk and a vertical plank fence on left. A car with license plate "C5442" and a two wheel cart in street. Behind Plimpton Manufacturing on Asylum Street is building with letters on side wall, "National House ..."

NotesSubject Note: Plimpton Manufacturing was a printing company at 252 Pearl Street and a division of United States Envelope Company. Hartford Electric Light Company at 266 Pearl Street sold residential lighting and electric motors. Mrs. Julia Anderson owned House National from 1902-1906 at 255 Asylum Street. Signed with artist's monogram in lower left.
