DescriptionIndustrial masonry brick factory buildings on dirt road. Center three-story building has flat top cupola and three-story projecting center addition on left. One-story building on right has ventilating roof shaft and smokestack and in front of it are a large stack of logs and group of barrels to the right.

Stowe and Son operated a paper mill in the Scitico section of Enfield from 1873 until around 1905 producing manila paper, wrapping, tobacco and counter paper. After the factory burned in 1905, only part of it was used until 1925 making leatherboard.
