DescriptionIndustrial factory complex . Building on left has a tower with mansard roof and round window next to building covered with ivy. Center building has skylights, ventilating pipes, a smokestack and a sign in the front gable, "The New Departure Mf Co". Utility wires attached to rooftops. Large smokestack is at the right. Railroad tracks and tanker cars are behind the buildings.

Rockwell, New Departure made doorbells, ball bearings, coaster brakes, bells and bicycle accessories. Main location was 259 North Main Street and Riverside Avenue at the corner of Downs Street in Bristol. By 1920, other plants were in the Elmwood section of West Hartford, Meriden and East Bristol in Connecticut, plus Detroit, Michigan and Chicago Illinois.On View
