NotesSubject Note: There were two steamers named Maryland that successively transported rail cars and their passengers from the Jersey City station of the Pennsylvania Railroad line to the Harlem River terminus of the New York and New England (later New York, New Haven and Hartford) Railroad where they then resumed their journey by train to Connecticut and Boston.
