DescriptionWoman's combing jacket of plain, white cotton. It is constructed with a yoke, which is piped around the edges. The front and back panels of the jacket are gathered into the yoke. The combing jacket opens for the length of the center front and fastens with two mother of pearl buttons on the yoke. The neckline is high and round, finished with a 1 3/8-inch-wide standing band collar, edged with scalloped crochet lace. The sleeves are full and are gathered into the armscye, which is piped, and into a one-inch-wide cuff at the wrist. The cuff is edged with scalloped crochet lace, and fastens with a single mother of pearl button. The body of the combing jacket is seamed selvage-to-selvage and the bottom edge has a 1/4-inch-wide hem.
