Allen. Franklin Allen was from Suffield, Connecticut and enlisted in the army on July 22, 1862. He was mustered in to the Sixteenth Regiment Infantry Company D as a Private on August 24, 1861. He was captured on April 20, 1864 at the battle in Plymouth, North Carolina and he died on November 10, 1864 in Andersonville, Georgia. (Ruocco, 04/24/2012)
