NotesSubject Note: George P. Edwards was from Hartford, Connecticut. He enlisted on July 12, 1862 and was mustered into the Twenty-first Regiment Infantry Company A as First Sergeant on September 5, 1862. He was promoted to Second Lieutenant in Company C on September 16, 1862. He was promoted on November 8, 1862 to First Lieutenant in Company B. He resigned on February 23, 1863. He re-enlisted on July 6, 1865 and was mustered into the Eigth Regiment Infantry Company E on July 28, 1865 as a First Lieutenant. He was mustered out on December 12, 1865. (Ruocco, 04/14/2012)
