DescriptionHalf-length portrait of an elderly man seated in a chair at a table. He wears a coat, vest, and lace stock and cuffs. His hair is tied in a queue. One hand rests on a book. Additional books, papers, an inkwell, a quill pen, and a tablecloth are on the table. Drapery with cords and tassle and a column are in the background.

Technique Note: Hand-coloring is very faded, presumably from light exposure. It is extremely simple and includes green, gold and blue.
