DescriptionWhite, short-sleeved t-shirt printed on the front with the Treasury Guard flag (Connecticut Historical Society #1922.4.1), in red, blue, and cream. Above the flag is printed "The Connecticut Historical Society" in blue letters; below the flag is printed "www.civilwartreasurers.com". The round neckline is finished with a one-inch-wide ribbing.

MarkingsTwo printed polyester tags stitched to the inside back of the neck: the first has the insignia of the "Fruit of the Loom" and "BEST". The second gives the size "L", fiber content "50% COTTON/50% POLYESTER" and origin "ASSEMBLED IN MEXICO", in Spanish, French, and English. On the reverse of the second tag is the laundering instructions: "MACHINE WASH WARM, WASH DARK / COLORS SEPARATELY....", also in Spanish, French, and English.
