DescriptionA young boy stands in the interior of a room or porch. He wears a Phrygian cap with a tassel, a coat with full skirts, and trousers. With his right hand, he points to a document "[C]ONSTITUTION / OF THE / UNITED STATES" on a table at the left. A sword and a tablecloth are also on the table. The scene is framed by heavy drapery. A tree and a grassy field or lawn are visible beyond a colonnade.
