MarkingsRed stitched letters on the outside edge of each shoe near the laces read, "Reebok®". Red stitched letters on the outside edge by the heel read, "RACEWALKER".
Blue stitched letters on the exterior of the tongue read, "Reebok®". There is a blue and red geometric design below this.
Stamped onto the sole of each shoe is, "Reebok®".
A white cloth panel in the middle of the interior of each shoe has "Reebok" printed repeatedly in blue ink.
A white cloth tag is sewn onto the left side of the interior of each tongue. In red and black lettering, the tag has size information above and "MADE IN KOREA" printed below.InscribedHandwritten in black marker on the back of the heel of each shoe is, "M. Torrellas / U.S.A."NotesHistorical Note: On 14 February 1987, Maryanne Torellas set a 1500 meter world record for race walking wearing these shoes. The record was set at the New Jersey Meadowlands during the United States Invitational Track Meet. Torellas is the first American woman ever to hold the 1500 meter record. (Hudson 7/27/2006)
