DescriptionView looking towards the Congregational Church, the Academy, and the Episcopal Church. Each of these buildings is labeled. Additional notes read "Building all white," "All windows small," "white door." A small "green house" is at the right and two additional small buildings and a tall flag staff or liberty pole are at the left. Except for a few small trees, the ground is open and rocky. The road in the foreground, which Barber identifies in his text as the main road from Guilford to New Haven is probably the Boston Post Road
