BiographySarah Alling was born on 29 January 1825, the daughter of Timothy Alling (b.1789) and C[?] Wise (b. 1793). She was taught at the school of Miss Frances A. Street of New Haven, Connecticut. She did not marry, and appears in the 1880 Federal Census as living with her father and two unmarried sisters.
