BiographyFrederick Bassett worked in New York City from 1761-1780, in Hartford, Connecticut, from 1780 to 1785, and back in New York from 1785 to 1799. During his short time in Hartford, Bassett must have influenced some of the Connecticut pewterers, namely Samuel Danforth who adapted some of Bassett's designs.
