BiographyMary Elizabeth was born on 28 March 1836. She was the daughter of George Wells Bartholomew and Angeline Ives Bartholomew. Her parents had at least eight children, and three daughters are said to have died of typhoid fever. Her siblings included: Harriet Ives (1830-1837); Harry Shelton (b. 1832); Frances Parthenia (1834-1839); Jane Estelle (b. 1840); and George Wells Bartholomew, Jr. Mary Elizabeth died on 18 January 1839.
