John Robbins
American, 1716 - 1798
BiographyCaptain John Robbins was the son of Richard Robbins. He served as Rocky Hill's militia captain for four years prior to obtaining his tavern license; he subsequently represented the town at various sessions of the Connecticut General Assembly during the 1780s. He married his second wife, Sarah Boardman Wright (1731-1784), in 1770.
