BiographyR.D.O. Smith was a daguerreotype photographer in Hartford. His daguerreian studio was listed in the Hartford City Directory for the years 1854-55 and 1855-56. In 1854-55, his advertisement mentions that he is the successor to S.K. Nichols. The establishment was at 168 1/2 Main Street. Smith does not appear in the 1856-57 or 1857-58 directories.
