Caroline Hinman Goodwin

BiographyCaroline Althea Hinman was born on 9 July 1827 in Waterbury, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Joel Hinman (1802-1870) and Maria Althea Scovill (1805-1878). She had at least three siblings: William L. Hinman (1833-1899), Eunice Scovill Hinman Abbot (1837-1904), and Mary Clark Hinman (1839-1875).
She married Henry Wheaton Goodwin (1823-1876) in 1846. They had three children: Maria Hinman Goodwin Clement (1847-1917), Caroline Anna Goodwin Parker (1859-1937), Frederick Abbott Goodwin (1865-1926).
She died on 4 March 1874 and is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery in Hartford, Connecticut.
