DescriptionIn the foreground, three farmers struggle to move their red cow forward, one pulling at its tail while another tugs at its head. Around them arrives a diverse procession of fairgoers: a gentleman in a top hat carrying a briefcase, a man driving a black automobile, a covered carriage, and a cart drawn by two donkeys transporting a man and woman. At the center of the composition, a brown horse stands enclosed within a wheeled cart, likely awaiting entry into the fairgrounds.
The background shows two large white tents, a Ferris wheel, and a rising hot air balloon.
