DescriptionSixth-plate daguerreotype portrait of Seth W. Craige, Jr. by an unknown photographer. Craige is wearing a dark jacket, a dark vest (probably silk or satin, judging by the sheen), a white shirt with a high, starched collar, and a cravat. His hair is oiled and combed forward onto his forehead, which suggests that he had been wearing a hat that the photographer asked him to remove. He had quite long and bushy sideburns, but is otherwise clean-shaven.
