DescriptionBodice or blouse for a small boy; made of brown plaid cotton. The front and back are gathered into a yoke across the shoulders and into the waistband. The neckline is slightly wide and rounded; it is edged with narrow piping covered in red/white shot silk, sewn like a tape inside the neck edge. The center front opening fastens with five "calico" porcelain buttons. Seven more buttons are stitched around the waistband for fastening the pants. The long sleeves are set smoothly into the armscye and are gathered into a cuff at the wrist. The cuff fastens with another button. The waistband and yoke are lined with plain-woven, off-white cotton.
