DescriptionBrass and probably brown bakelite plastic power outlet in the original box. The outlet (.a) is oriented vertically, with one socket over another for inserting the plug of an elecrical appliance. Prongs at the top and bottom with three screw holes each would allow the outlet to be mounted into a wall. Each of these prongs has one screw in it.

The top of one metal prong on the top of the outlet is stamped, "A-H&H U.S.A." Each socket on the outlet is stamped, "AH". The middle of the outlet between the two sockets is printed in raised letters, "15 V. 125 A./ UL [in a circle] H&H [in a circle]".

The white paper box (.b) has no cover; based on other examples, it probably would have been wrapped in clear plastic. All four sides of the box are printed in red ink. The long sides read, "CAT. 5252/ ARROW-HART/ U.S.A./ 3 WIRE - 2 WIRE/ CONVENIENCE OUTLET/ 15 A. [circle] 125 V./ DUPLEX - SIDE WIRED/ A.-H. & H. ELEC. CO." Each short side of the box reads, "5252/ ARROW-HART".
