DescriptionHead and shoulders portrait of Ward Cheney as an older man. He is angled to the left and looking off camera. Ward is wearing a dark suit jacket, vest and tie, over a white collared shirt. There is a watch chain attached to the vest. Ward's hair is thin on top but thick and curly around his ears. He has a short, curly beard. It is mostly dark, with a patch of white in the middle and more white on the sides. The hair on his head is gray or white with some darker color at the back. There are large bags or circles under Ward's eyes. The photograph is printed on a sheet of paper that has a slight rectangular depression in the middle, forming a border around the image area.
