DescriptionThree-quarter length studio portrait of Ward Cheney as an adult. He is sitting in a chair, facing to the left and looking off camera. His left arm is resting on a small round side table that is covered with a heavy cloth that has long tassels all around the edge. Ward is wearing a three-piece suit with a white shirt and a dark tie. His hair is wavy and parted on one side. He has a beard but no moustache. There are two thin, dark-brown lines running around the outside of the image area, forming a border.
