He is wearing a dark colored coat that has a double row of buttons down the front, with white stockings and black boots. He is also wearing mittens and a beret that has a bow on the back of it. His shadow is cast on the sidewalk behind and to the left of him. There is a tall metal fence on the left that continues to run alongside the sidewalk into the distance. In the background, tall trees line both sides of the walk. There is a person on the sidewalk several yards behind Ward.
