DescriptionCash register used at Wing Lee Laundry in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Made by National Cash Register Company, Serial No. 1345786, Model No. 324. It has an ornate brass exterior with a marble plate above the cash drawer. It has a cash drawer and pop-up indicators at the top. The machine has two rows of keys. Keys in the top row are labeled $1, 80, 60, 40, 20, 9, 7, 5, 3, 1. Keys in the bottom row are labeled $2, 90, 70, 50, 30, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, No Sale.

NotesHistorical Note: Moy Chack Fong immigrated to the United States from China in 1937 under the assumed identity of Ng Ming Joe, as a "paper son" to join his father, who purchased fradulent identification, in New York City. In 1948, he purchased Wing Lee Laundry located at 105 Congress Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut. For a detailed biography see Ms 102159 in the library collection.
