DescriptionPhotographs of men in military uniforms, some with rifles, many in tents. Some photographs may be from the Civil War era but most probably show Connecticut National Guard encampments in Hampton or Niantic. One photograph showing a formation of soldiers is identified as the Hartford City Guard and may show maneuvers in Bushnell Park. Some photographs include women. Some show Civil War monuments, one with a crane above it and a workman standing on a ladder beside it. One monument is decorated with garlands.
