DescriptionCast pewter mug with a cylindrical body and straight, tapered sides. The mug has a cast, ear-shaped handle consisting of a large C-curve over a small, outward facing C-curve; the bottom of the handle is separated from the body of the mug by a short, conical support. Opposite the handle are the engraved words, "Hartford Lawn Club/ September 1891/ Second Prize/ Singles/ won by/ J. B. Hull". The mug has engraved bands about one-third down the body. It has tapered molding around the base. The bottom of the mug is constructed of colorless glass set into the interior of the mug. There is one small chip in the rim, and light scratches and tarnishing on the exterior of the mug.
