DescriptionRound, porcelain teacup (.a) and saucer (.b) with overglaze gilding and enamels in red, green, and pink. Both are decorated in a similar manner starting at the foot of the teacup and the center of the saucer. Both are surrounded by a border of gilded filigree, then a field of red enamel with gilded flowers, leaves, and vines over the red. Then comes a background of white porcelain which is divided into four panels by a tapered band of green enamel ending in scallops of gilding. Each of the four panels is decorated with clusters of pink enamel flowers with green leaves. A final dusting of gold enamel decorates the rim of both the teacup and saucer. The teacup has an additional border of gold filigree on the inside of the rim, as well as a gilded handle. Some of the gilding has worn off the rim of both teacup and saucer, the handle, and a line of gilding where the rim of the saucer meets the slight depression that holds the teacup.
