DescriptionRound, porcelain teacup (.a) and saucer (.b) with gilding and overglaze enamels in green, pink, and yellow. Both are decorated in a similar manner, beginning with a gilded rim and a border that has small enamel flowers painted over gilding. This surrounds a green and pink enamel border consisting of painted enamel green mesh with swags of leaves and pink flowers inside. This same green and pink border is found on the inside of the teacup. Finally, the saucer has a narrow band of gilding at the inside edge of the rim, while the teacup has a gilded handle and foot. Some of the gilding has begun to wear off the teacup and saucer, most notably at the rim of the teacup and the narrow band of gilding on the saucer.

MarkingsThere are two marks found on the bottom of both the teacup and saucer. The first is an underglaze green printed mark of "J. P./ L." over the curved word "FRANCE". The second mark is an overglaze red mark of "C. 682". Additionally the saucer has an overglaze mark of "J. Pouyat/ Limoges" inside a green and brown wreath.
