DescriptionA temperance broadside printed on two sides in New London, Connecticut on August 24, 1850. Titled, on one side, "Reign of Cold Water! Men who daily violate Law, or designedly screen the guilty, have no just ground of complaint when they are held up to public reproach." The other side reads "Reign of Rum! Or an account of the Doings of the Rumsellers of New London to Oppose Temperance and Screen the Guilty from Punishments: By J. R. Steward."
