Hope is looking at the camera and holding the dog, with their heads touching The dog has medium-length, tousled fur and perky pointed ears. It is wearing a collar and probably sitting on a table. Hope is wearing a sweater and the collar and cuffs of a white blouse are showing from underneath it. There is a short length of pearls hanging from the neckline and she has a ring on the pinky finger of her right hand, which is resting on the dog's collar. Hope's hair is straight and short, about chin length, and is held back from her face with a clip on one side. There is a painted backdrop behind them.
