DescriptionNinth plate tintype of Charlotte Alice Barnard (later Mrs. Louis Filley), taken sometime in adolescence. She has short brown hair parted in the middle. She is wearing a striped dress with a wide, low neckline. It has short, wide sleeves trimmed with ribbon and a short waist. She is wearing a brooch (perhaps a cameo) pinned to the center of the bodice neckline, and a thin necklace.
