The elderly couple is Major General Halstead Dorey and his wife, Theodora Cheney Dorey. According to the inscription on the back, also included in view are their two daughters, Georgie (Georgiana) Grant and Dodo (Ednah) Dorey, and Joe Grant, which might be a nickname for Georgie's husband, Melville Grant.
