DescriptionA World War I medal honoring the men of New Haven, Conn. who fought in the war. The medal is cross-shaped with a ring attache top arm of the cross has a relief image of an axe-head. The right and left arms of the cross have relief images of leaf decoration. In the center is a relief image of a sailing ship. Above the ship is the bust of a Spartan soldier. The reverse side has inscribed text on top of a sword.
