DescriptionSubjects include trees, a barrel by a fence, an abandoned sleigh and carriage, a flower garden, a stone wall, a stream with a waterfall in the woods, and cloud studies. Several drawings depict autumn foliage. Many drawings are rough, unfinished sketches.

2004.52.264 in inscribed in pencil, "I married a sister, before that I'd kissed her / A sister as good as could be. / They always went 'ray when I came to stay, / Had I done that, I still should be single, / But when I did kiss her, Instead I had missed her, [end of quote]". 2004.52.265 is inscribed in pencil, "The finest thing [crossed out] sight in this world is a girl just / blossoming int beautiful womanhood, and the most interesting sight / in this world is an elderly lady backing out of a carriage."
