DescriptionSketchbook includes drawings of scenes in northern Vermont and New Hampshire, with lakes, mountains, trees, and steep cliffs. An allegorical composition depicts an angel standing on a battlefield while the dead arise and ascend into heaven. Other drawings include a house with a picket fence, a kerosene lamp, a man wearing eyeglasses, and bulls and cows in a field.
