DescriptionCast silver plate pie plate with two handles. The body of the pie plate is round, with a standing rim, everted sides, and a flat well. The pie plate has two handles on opposite sides. Each handle is slightly rounded, with sharp corners, and sides that curve down to meet the side of the pie plate. The top edge of each handle is ornamented with a band of short, incised lines. There is light tarnishing and short scratches over all the surfaces of the pie plate. The well is scratched, with lines radiating from the center out to the edge.

MarkingsThe underside of the pie plate has a mark that consists of two circles. Stamped in the left circle is "MERIDEN", over a pair of scales, over "B. COMPANY". Stamped in the right circle is "MERIDEN BRITANNIA. Co/ QUADRUPLE/ MERIDEN, CT". Below the circles are stamped "PAT FEB. 9, 1969/ 2".InscribedThe underside of the pie plate has a rectangular, white sticker with "9.50" hand-written in blue ink.
