MarkingsThere are two metal medallions affixed to the base of the typewriter, one at each of the back corners. The medallion in the right corner reads, "YOST * WRITING * MACHINE * CO. * U.S.A." along the edge. In the middle, it reads, "BRIDGPORT/ MANUFAC./ TURERS/ CONN." The medallion in the left corner reads, "MUIR, HAWLEY & MAYO CO. U.S.A." along the edge. In the middle, it reads, "NEW YORK/ SALES/ AGENTS/ N.Y."

The white metal on the top of the back of the typewriter is stamped, "PATENTED/ 1639".

A white paper label affixed the the edge of the base, just below the Muir, Hawley & Mayo Co. medallion, is handwritten in blue ink. It reads, "63-14/ Old Time/ Typewriter". The right half of the sticker has lost its adhesive and is peeling up.
