MarkingsA black and silver metal plate affixed to the back reads, "THE BRISTOL COMPANY/ WATERBURY, CONN., U.S.A./ MODEL 4044 CHART 4043/ SERIAL 125131".

A sticker affixed the the center of the back is gold with black lettering. It reads, "EIMER & AMEND/ MODERN LABORATORY APPLIANCES/ CHEMICALS & DRUGS/ NEW YORK, N.Y."Inscribed"201181" is scratched into the back of the top, near the handle.
