NotesSubject Note: Harriet Dickinson was born 29 August 1789 in Middletown, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Grace Redfield Dickinson and Jacob Dickinson. She married Shubael Banks Cotton (1792-1868) on 27 June 1811 in Middletown; they had four children. Harriet Dickinson Cotton died 1 October 1857 in Lafayette, Illinois.
