DescriptionPair of oil lamps made of blown colorless non-lead glass. Each of the lamps has a wide, flared rim that narrows briefly before forming a compressed spherical font, or bowl. Where the rim is the most narrow, a disc-shaped piece of glass with a round hole in the center is applied to the top of each font. Each lamp has a short stem with a ring, or knop, toward the bottom. A handle is located at one side of each lamp; the horizontal top portion of each handle attaches to the center of each font, and the bottom portion curves down to attach to the bottom of the stem. A thumbpiece, or small pressed area of glass, with an impressed leaf design, is located at the juncture of the two portions of each handle. Each lamp has a flat round foot with a nearly flat bottom.
