DescriptionCordial glass made of blown blue glass. The cordial glass has a 'U'-shaped bowl, a straight stem, and a round foot with a pontil mark on the bottom. There are some slight vertical ribs on the bowl, probably the result of being blown in a pattern mold. There are many small bubbles and seeds, or unvitrified matter, in the glass.

Pontil mark: A rough place on a blown glass object where the solid metal rod, or pontil, is cracked off the object after final shaping and decoration. Pontil marks can be polished to achieve a smooth surface.
