MarkingsThere are two labels adhered to bottom of the vase. The first is a rectangular, woven textile label with "#3 $40.00/ Luman KELSEY/ North CaNTon Conn" hand-written in black ink. The second label is a small, white, rectangular label with the number "43-1911" hand-written in ink. He never found out what happened in the kiln to make this color. one of 5 or 6." The author of the hand-written note is unknown, but was probably a curator or administrator from the Connecticut Historical Society. (Hunt 2/9/2005)
