DescriptionBaluster-shaped stoneware pitcher with a mottled, translucent brown glaze, a type of ceramic known as Rockingham ware, and relief decoration showing ears of corn. The pitcher has a pronounced, curved spout, narrower neck, wide base, and a circular foot. A molded and applied handle, with an ear of corn at the highest point, connects the rim with the widest point of the pitcher. There is a pronounced raised decoration on both sides of the pitcher in the shape of multiple ears of corn attached to the stalk. There is light crazing over all the glazed surfaces of the pitcher.

MarkingsThere is one impressed mark on the bottom of the pitcher, "S RISLEY/ NORWICH/ 3". There is a white oval label adhered to the bottom of the pitcher. "MK/ 805" is hand-written in black ink on the label.
