At the widest end of the pipe, the cylindrical, hollow area is widened to accommodate the narrow end of another length of pipe. The interior of the pipe is glaze with a brown slip glaze, or Albany-type glaze. The exterior of the pipe is not glazed, but is an uneven red color. An unknown white substance has adhered in an irregular pattern to the exterior of the pipe.
