DescriptionCylindrical, grey stoneware inkwell with an all-over salt glaze. The inkwell has a round top with a circular depression and a hole in the center, and two holes near the rim. The inkwell has cylindrical sides with an incised line circling the middle, and a flat bottom. The interior of the inkwell is divided into a central circular chamber and at least one additional chamber around that.
Three cracks cross portions of the top, sides and bottom of the inkwell. An unknown white substance is adhered to the side of the inkwell over two of these cracks. Overall, the surface of the inkwell is not an even grey tone.
