DescriptionChinese export porcelain cream ewer with hand-painted overglaze enamels in orange, purple, and green. The cream ewer sits on a foot, and has a wide rim and a handle that mimicks the appearance of a stick. The foot is decorated with a line of purple enamel arrowheads. A hand-painted orange flower on a bright green stem with smaller purple flowers is located just below the spout. The wide rim is decorated with a solid line of orange enamel with small purple arrowheads pointed toward the line at period intervals. The top of the handle has the remnants of gilding. There is an area of missing glaze in the middle of the cream ewer to the left of the spout. Green enamel is stuck to some of the glaze around the bare spot.
